East Kent Colleges (EKC) Group has won the Employer of the Year Award at this year’s Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards.
The prestigious event showcases the most talented businesses and individuals across the county and EKC Group was in with a chance of winning ‘Employer of the Year’ and ‘Construction Project of the Year’ for its Phase 2 Development at Ashford College.
After being shortlisted for two categories, EKC Group has taken the trophy for Employer of the Year.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner at Westenhanger Castle yesterday evening.
Graham Razey, Chief Executive Officer at EKC Group, said: “I’m so proud of our Group and its staff and the recognition they have received with this award win.
“It celebrates the incredible work colleagues do every day to make our organisation an outstanding place to work, and an employer of choice in the county.
“Over the past few years, we have worked really hard to ensure that every colleague loves coming to work every day in our organisation, and this award reflects the efforts of all of our staff.
“It was also fantastic to be shortlisted in this year’s Construction Project of the Year category for our Ashford Phase 2 development.
“Whilst we didn’t win the category, this game changing project has meant capacity to train an additional 300 students every year, ensuring that we continue to play a leading role in developing the socio-economic prosperity of the communities we proudly serve in the borough.”
