Folkestone Student takes home the win at the Young Painter of the Year Competition!

Folkestone Colllege student, Alicia Smye-Rumsby takes first place at the Johnstone's Trader 2019 Young Painter of the Year Competition!

On Wednesday 1st May, Folkestone College had the pleasure of hosting the South East heats of the Johnstone's Young Painter of the Year competition.

Competitors from schools and colleges across the region descended on Folkestone College to showcase their skills for the competition. Up for grabs was a cash reward, as well as a fantastic prize bundle of quality decorating tools from a range of leading suppliers.

After some hard work, it was our very own Alcia Smye-Rumsby that took home the win! Alicia is currently studying Level 2 Painting and Decorating course with us and her hard work has definitely paid off. Alicia showcased her high skill level and talent, which let to her securing the win.

Well done Alicia, a great achievment!
