At East Kent Colleges Group, we’re joining the Association of Colleges campaign to let everyone know that Adult Learning Pays.
Our EKC Training provision offers courses specifically designed with industry partners for adults.
Whether someone is looking to upskill, retrain, or boost their confidence to get back into work, EKC Training is here to support.
Discover more about the provision and how we’re playing a key role in supporting the success of adults across East Kent.
“I was working in an office doing freight clearance. I’d been there for about four and a half years, but I’d had enough of office work and decided it was time to get my hands dirty.
“It gives you a real sense of what working in rail is actually like from day one instead of being thrown in at the deep end later.”
“I’m a single parent, and I didn’t want to keep sitting there feeling like I wasn’t achieving for myself.
“I heard about the Training Centre, and decided I wanted to come and get my Maths and English to go on to allow me to go on to further education.
“I want more for myself, and I want to achieve a career.”
“I decided this course might be a good way for me to focus on getting out of the house because, for me, that was a big issue.
“I had a lot of anxiety, so having the course just as a focus to get up and do something that day has been quite beneficial for me.
“I’m just really grateful for the opportunity for myself.”
