24 August 2023
Level 2 and GCSE students from across our family of Colleges share their success stories.

Ibrahim will be progressing to study Level 3 Computing at our EKC Canterbury College in September.

Lawrence | EKC Sheppey College

Lawrence achieved a Grade 5 in GCSE English. After opening his results, Lawrence said: “I am surprised and shocked that I got a 5 – it is fantastic!

“I want to go into teaching, so I need to get a similar result in Maths this year. I could also do a teaching degree with Maths on the side – it depends what is out there for me. I don’t think I would have got such high results if I had gone anywhere else.”

Millie | EKC Broadstairs College

Millie achieved a Grade 5 in GCSE Chemistry. She will be progressing to study Accounting at our EKC Canterbury College in September.

Dylan | EKC Dover College

Dylan successfully passed his Level 2 Plumbing qualification and achieved a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. He will be progressing onto an Apprenticeship at the Port of Dover in September.

After a near miss in November, being awarded a Grade 4 in his GCSE resit delighted Dylan who said: “Without my Maths GCSE, I wouldn’t have been able to do an apprenticeship, and I am so happy now I’ve achieved and I can look forward to the future. I’m going to Reading Festival to celebrate.”

Amelia | EKC Sheppey College

Amelia achieved a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. Speaking about Amelia’s success, her Tutor commented: “Amelia has worked exceptionally hard this year, and made the decision to jump from Level 1 Functional Skills to GCSE Mathematics. This grade is even more amazing as Amelia has worked hard on top of all her other duties i.e. running a hobby club, learning to drive, and being student president.”

Ryan | EKC Ashford College

Ryan successfully passed his Level 2 Electrical qualification and is looking forward to starting Level 3 Electrical in September.

Lia | EKC Broadstairs College
