Sheppey Students Invite Families to Hop Online for Free Easter Activities

Students from our Sheppey College are inviting families with young children to hop online and make use of their fun, free digital activities portal over the Easter holiday.

The innovative online space, created by Level 2 Business students, is packed with activities, quizzes and educational resources aimed at Early Years and Key Stage One pupils.

Bold and interactive, there’s even an Easter Bonnet competition for children to take part in.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the initiative, Interim Head of Business and ICT at the College, Kelly Hough, commented: “Each year our Level 2 Business students complete a social action project and an event planning unit as part of their qualification, however, due to COVID-19 we knew we needed to be extra innovative this year.

“We felt creating an online Easter Event for our young, local community would be perfect to help families during lockdown, providing teachers and parents with fun activities for the children to take part in during school and the Easter holidays.

“The students brainstormed their ideas and worked in teams to create the different activities. The students adapted very well to working online to meet the criteria of their assessments and take part in social action simultaneously, providing them with valuable transferable skills for the future.”
