HE Fees & Finance

It's easy to get overwhelmed with all the information out there regarding how you can finance your studies. This page will provide you with guidance about where to find what you may be entitled to and how to apply.

OUR FEES:

All courses for UK students are £6,000 per year for full-time study and £3,000 per year for part-time study.

If you are an EU student, please contact our department for further information.

STUDENT FINANCE ENGLAND:

Most students studying for their first degree, including those studying for a HNC, HND, or Foundation Degree, can apply for financial help for their fees from Student Finance England (SFE), or may be eligible for a bursary or grant from one of the many organisations that we work with.

You can check if you're eligible for Student Finance by going onto their website and looking at the eligibility criteria: https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies and can get further information from watching this video.

If you live outside of England, please visit the links below for more information on Student Finance:

THE EKC GROUP BURSARY:

The EKC Group Bursary is a scheme for all HE students on higher education programmes across the Group. The Bursary is available for eligible students with a household income below £25,000, with a total of 20 bursaries available. The decision for awarding bursaries is decided by a committee who will consider the applications and evidence of having met the criteria.

Contact your course tutor or the Higher Education team for more information (highered@eastkent.ac.uk).

DISABLED STUDENT'S ALLOWANCE:

If you have a disability, long-term health condition, mental health condition or specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, you may be eligible for the DSA. This grant will help pay for extra costs you might have as a direct result of your disability, condition or learning difficulty, such as human support, travel costs and assistive technology. It is available to both full-time and part-time students and, providing you complete your programme and, unlike a loan, it does not have to be repaid. Eligibility for the DSA is based entirely on your level of need and circumstances (your household income isn’t taken into consideration).

Please note that the College will be unable to provide you with additional support if you haven’t been awarded appropriate funding through a DSA. Therefore, if you think that you will need additional support, please apply for a DSA as early as possible before the start of your programme.
