On 17th December, Demelza Hospice hosted a Christmas carol concert at Canterbury Cathedral with sponsorship from Canterbury College. It was an evening of joyful celebration, with beautiful music and engagement from the community. Demelza raised an incredible £18,000 on the night and over 1,000 people attended the event. The atmosphere was uplifting and festive and it was truly a night to remember.
Mellissa Cox, Digital Marketing Manager for Demelza Hospice, said: “This event is such an iconic event in our annual portfolio and to have Canterbury College involved with it this year was just excellent. Thank you so much again for all of your help with making this event such a success.”
Canterbury College often works with Demelza Hospice to raise funds for their important charity, for example via the BitCrush Festival hosted in The Street and fundraising throughout Community Week. Canterbury College will continue to support Demelza Hospice with many more events in 2019.
