What Are Your Ambitions?

One of the College values is ambition, which means that we empower you to reach your potential, whether it’s by providing you the tools you need in order to succeed or by offering you opportunities that you might not otherwise have.

We spoke to a range of students at the College about their future careers and how Canterbury College has helped them on the path to their dream career.

James Stimpson, Creative Media

“In the time that I have been at the College, I have learned skills with industry-standard software, which will help me pursue the career I want in live television.”

Tina Bateson, Health and Social Care

“I really want to work with disabled children in a special needs school. At the College, I have learned to deal with new people and help them out. This has helped me to have more confidence in myself.”

Joely Catt, Animal Management

“In the future, I’d love to be a veterinary nurse. My course has taught me new things, and it’s been interesting to meet new animals. The College is helpful in allowing me to find confidence in conversations with people I don’t know, just like I would have to do in my future career.”

Shem Morgan, Art & Design

“During my time at Canterbury College, I have explored my love for creativity. On many occasions, I have been entrusted to tutor my peers, which has given me so much experience with my future goal of becoming a teacher.”
