Our courses have been developed to meet the needs of everyone, whether they are school leave or an adult returning back to education. Our facilities has been designed for flexibility, with a recent refurbishment in 2018.
Our industry expert tutors help you to understand the variety of job roles there are in your chosen industry and show you how to get started on a career you love. Our tutors have the knowledge needed to teach you the much needed skills that employers are looking for.
We offer our students work experience opportunities throughout their course, which ensures you know the skills and attitude expected of you by employers, as well as giving you valuable experience within your chosen industry which can be used on your CV. We have industry liason officers in place for each department, ensuring you get the guidance you need to gain relevant and useful work experience, and they can also help you with creating your CV and applying for jobs.
Our courses are created based on trips and competitions that you will take part in throught out the year. Our students enter competitions against other students and Colleges on a regional and national level to give you the experience and confidence needed to enter employment. Our students also go on a range of trips relevant to their course, which allows you to gain a deeper understanding of the job roles and how you can get started on a career you love.
As a student at Sheppey College, you will be within walking distance of all major transport links and the high street, allowing you to explore the surroundings of our small town during your breaks or after College.
