Following on from the Level 1 qualification, you will learn how to deal with leaking pipes, water systems and drainage.
The Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing covers a number of subjects including health and safety at work, working safely in a plumbing team, installations, materials, storage and handling, maintaining pipe systems and components, hot and cold water, central heating, sanitation, pipe systems, and components installation and testing.
Students will be assessed by a mixture of practical activities and multiple-choice examinations.
You can progress on to the Level 3 qualifications in Building & Construction.
In order to work as a qualified plumber you will need to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship after completion of this course.
4 Ds/3s or above including English at grade 3 and Maths at grade 4 or a relevant Full Level 1 in addition to the English and Maths requirements.
Students are expected to complete 34 hours of work experience.
