If you are hands-on and enjoy practical challenges, a career in plumbing could be for you.

We offer Gas and Plumbing training courses for all levels including those experienced and those wishing to begin a new career. Train to be a Gas Engineer or Plumber today or build on your profession with additional training that will allow you to take on more work. All our courses are taught in a well-equipped training centre.

Our Plumbing workshops are based in our onsite Trades Block, where you can work alongside like-minded individuals in professional environments.

You will be able to practice your newfound skills at individual workstations.

Many of our students progress on to a freelance career where they are self-employed. 

Our course incorporates work-ready skills, giving you the knowledge you need to set up your own successful business within the trade.

You may wish to specialise in areas such as:

  • Steamfitting
  • Gas Servicing
  • Pipe laying
  • Pipe fitting.

Role description

Jobholders in this unit group assemble, install, maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, heating and ventilating systems and pipes and pipeline systems in commercial, residential and industrial premises and public buildings.
