Pathways

Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

The Architecture, Survey and Planning pathway offers you the chance to study a T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.

Develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of architectural, planning, and quantity surveying aspects of the built environment.         

Combine learning from industry-expert tutors with hands-on experience with local employers to develop the skills to enable you to thrive in a range of construction jobs.  

Careers

Our courses are designed to help you progress into higher education or your chosen career. Students studying this pathway can progress into a number of specialist trainee roles, in areas such as:

  • Quantity surveying
  • Planning design
  • Architecture
  • Project management.

This pathway also provides the foundation to finding a full-time role that involves studying at university part-time alongside work.

When studying with us you will be able to explore your options with our dedicated Industry Liaison Officer, who will empower you to get experience in relevant skills and careers. 

We are currently offering a T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.

If you study a T Level with us, you will have to opportunity to specialise in Surveying and Design for Construction and the Built Environment. 

What is a T Level?

T Levels are the next-level qualification that replaces our Level 3 BTEC qualifications. They are widely recognised by universities and employers, and allow you to gain skills that will help you to progress on to your chosen career, or further study at university or a higher level apprenticeship.

One T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels, and you will spend 45 days of your course on an industry placement relevant to your course.

Why study a T Level?

This new qualification has been developed in collaboration with employers and education providers, giving you skills that meet the need of the industry and allows you to enter skilled employment or a relevant university course.

Role description

Chartered surveyors conduct surveys related to the measurement, management, valuation and development of land, natural resources, buildings, other types of property, and infrastructure such as harbours, roads and railway lines.

Our entry requirements allow any student to apply enrol and progress in their studies with us to achieve their full potential.

You will apply for your chosen pathway and at the interview you can discuss what entry criteria you need for each level.

Once you have your GCSEs we can ensure you are enrolled on the best level for you to progress and succeed at College.
