This one-year course prepares students for the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 course and consists of three units of the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4. It is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and finance. The qualification is a progression route for students who have achieved the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
The Preparation for AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 is a one-year course and comprises two mandatory and one optional unit:
All assessments are set and marked by AAT in end-of-unit assessments (examinations).
The accountancy skills developed by studying this qualification will enable students to seek employment with confidence and/or to progress to complete the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 qualification.
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (usually at a merit or above).
Entry onto the course is subject to an interview. The College will help you to assess your current financial and accounting competence, typically by working through a skills check and will advise on the most appropriate level for you to join the AAT programme.
It is good practice for students to work in an accountancy or finance role while studying.
The course is delivered in either a morning or afternoon session.

On successful completion of the Preparation for AAT Accounting course you will be able to progress onto the AAT Accounting Diploma Level 4 course so you can complete the remaining 3 units of AAT Level 4.
