Updates: Colleges & Business Units | Commercial Outlets and Nurseries
Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
For this year's KMFM Hit List GCSE Surgery, which gives advice and guidance to those getting GCSE Results, we have been personally involved thanks to our staff and students as well as those in the wider EKC Group. This was done through a podcast series as well as live appearances on the Hit List on Wednesday 24th August and Thursday 25th August (GCSE Results Day!)
The podcasts cover topics such as post 16 options, a deeper look into T Levels, Apprenticeships, studying at college, what college life is like, and the experiences of some of our students. From Ashford College, we had students, our leadership team, industry liaison officers, and our careers officers give advice and guidance on all these subjects. There are 7 podcasts in total, and we hope these will be able to help you or your child with their future.
On Wednesday 24th August, our Deputy Principal Alexandra went on KMFM live on The Hit List show to answer personalised questions sent in by listeners. Along with Rochelle, the EKC Group's Community and Schools Liaison Manager, Alexandra answered questions from students who were unsure what to do if they didn't get the results they wanted, as well as parents who wanted to know how to support their kids collecting GCSE Results.
On Thursday 25th August, after our students collected their GCSE Results, our Principal Susan went on The Hit List along with Canterbury's Student Experience Officer Holly to answer questions from those who had got results and wanted to know more about college life, as well as see what their options were now and how college could help their future.
This was a great experience for all involved, and if you want to hear what our staff and students said, click here for the full KMFM GCSE Surgery 2022.
