Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities
A wide selection of courses covering various pathways within the Construction and Built Environment sector. For Plumbing we offer full time courses on various levels, which can all be achieved through internal and external progression. We also offer the HNC in Construction, a Higher Education course which is equivalent to the first year of a degree programme.
The courses include health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries. Courses offer a series of practical projects and modules of study, which will prepare you for your chosen career.
These courses are currently based at Wotton Road in the EKC Plumbing and Electrical Training Centre, but we are investing in brand new facilities for Plumbing at the Elwick Road site, meaning that as you progress, so will the tools and the facilities that you will be using. Ashford College also work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training. Employers will provide demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible work placements will also be provided by the employers for those on the Level 3 course. This practically based training is ideal preparation for gaining employment in the plumbing industry or specialist further study.
With our Plumbing courses at Ashford College, you can progress onto many options, including going on to further study at University, or launching your career in an industry of your choice. Our full time courses and our HNC courses allow you to choose the path that is right for you.
