Our Business & Professional courses offer a wide variety of study areas.

At Ashford College, our courses will introduce you to the main business disciplines, exploring areas such as business activity, resources, communication and marketing. If you are looking to go into a specialised area of business, we also offer courses like this for you, including our Accountancy diploma, and our T Level in Management and Administration, which is brand new for us in 2022.

The T Level consists of 80% classroom based learning and 20% on the job learning (in a 45 day work placement). In our Business pathway, we have great connections with local businesses such as the Ashford Designer Outlet, and are able to give our students real and practical experience leading them to aspire and achieve at Ashford.

Please note that Business students are are expected to wear a white blouse/shirt, with black trousers and black shoes in order to give a business like appearance. Black jumper or cardigan is optional.

Student Progression

Whether your future is progressing to a higher level course with us, joining the workforce in a variety of roles, or moving on to University, our Ashford College Business team can help you achieve your goals.

Areas in this industry that you could go on towards include...

  • Administration
  • Management
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Consultancy

On our Business pathway, we have worked with lots of external partners over the years. We are proud to say in Business that our partners include companies like the Ashford Designer Outlet, where our students can gain experience from big brands, and they can see what happens in Business in great detail. This also allows our students to ask questions and be given great advice by those with years of experience. We are also able to place our learners with a range of high quality businesses close to their home for their practical workplace experience.

We hope to improve our relationship with these partners significantly when we start to offer our new T Level course in Management and Administration from September 2022. Students will take part in a 45 day work placement with a local employer, really giving them the experience they need to break into the industry. Learn more about T Levels in general here.
