Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
The evening began with a drinks reception and canapés in the Pallet Gallery, provided by our Catering and Hospitality students. Nominees' families and friends were invited to attend alongside sponsors, local employers, several council leaders and the Lord Mayor of Canterbury, who kindly offered motivational words during the ceremony.
Guest speaker David McQueen, who is best known for hosting Channel 4 career series Vocation, Vocation, Vocation, took to the stage to advise students on the value of their success and how to recognise it.
SU President Jessica Foster presented the President’s Award to David Johnston, who had been Events Officer and Campaigns Officer during his time at the College. Jessica said: “His dedication and enthusiasm for the role has allowed him to produce high-quality work and improve the student experience at the College.”
Among the recognised students, Jack Robinson and Shem Morgan were the winners of the Principal's Award for Excellence.
Winning and highly commended students received prizes kindly donated by sponsors Appletree, Barretts, Denne Joinery, ECA, KMFM, Lilford Gallery, Megger, Pettit Group, SAGA and Stonelees Golf Centre.
