We offer a broad spectrum of levels, including access courses, foundation degrees, HND/HNCs, higher technical qualifications and BA/BSc top-ups.

What are Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs)?

Higher Technical qualifications (HTQs) are your alternative
to apprenticeships or degrees. These practical courses lead
to high-skilled, highly paid jobs in a wide range of sectors,
giving you a step up in your chosen career.

HTQs have been independently approved against the skills
that employers say they need.

Jordan - HND Student at Broadstairs in the computing lab.

“I’ve chosen to study computing at College as I’ve always had an interest in computers. As computers have advanced over the years I’ve been able to advance my knowledge through the opportunities and equipment that the HND course provides.

After the course I would like to become a freelance consultant in Computing using my new found skills.”

“Not only do I get to work with a massive variety of animals (Spring Lane has over 100 different species) but I also love working with the staff members and getting to teach younger students.

As I share my knowledge I get to help students expand their knowledge as well as improve my skillset for the future.”

Charlotte

“The things I enjoy most about studying within the Higher Education course are the practical elements.

We actually get to build all the different types of circuits that we are studying about as well as an in-depth look at the theory side of things.”

Mark
HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering – Ashford

“As I create art I wanted to be surrounded by other creatives so that we could bounce off each other and learn a lot from our experiences.

The college course has been really good so far and I’m enjoying every minute of it.”

Jessica

“I initially studied the Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Level 3 straight after school and now I’m lucky enough to be an animal care ssistant at the College.

I love that I am working towards my future with the opportunities that have been provided to me by the college and that this will continue through Higher Education.”

What I love about College is that I’m allowed to explore what I’m interested in but I also have the dedicated support I need from tutors and other students.

The College environment is so welcoming and I’m really enjoying all the different aspects.”
