Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

Develop your creativity into a broad range of art and design skills used across the creative industries.

Our Centre for Creative Industries has been specially designed so that you have access to the latest equipment, cutting-edge technology and specialist production spaces including art studio and photography darkroom.

Our Creative Industries department will help you get started in a branch of this exciting industry, be it in art, design or photography. Students will be taught by highly qualified lecturers, many of whom are practising artists. Art and Design at Broadstairs College will give you the chance to focus, develop and specialise in the area you are passionate about.

The Michael Wright Building is home to our £3.3m Centre for Creative Industries, boasting an amphitheatre, digital media suites and recording studios, with industry-standard kit and the latest technologies.

Power of Women March

Power of Women March

Our Level 3 Art & Design students and staff joined up for the procession in Margate to celebrate International Women's Day 2018. The procession moved along from Nayland Rock Shelter to the Turner Contemporary. This was part of the opening of the POW! Thanet Festival (Power of Women). The students made their own banners for the event.

Ramsgate Film and TV Festival

Ramsgate Film and TV Festival

Level 3 Art & Design student Elyssa won the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival competition to design the poster for their annual festival. The poster design was transformed into billboard size to advertise the event. The Festival programme was designed by Level 3 Media student Harry. 

British Wildlife Photography Winner

British Wildlife Photography Winner

Level 2 Art and Design student Ivan won the British Wildlife Photographer of the year in the 12-18 category. Ivan's photo, Eye of the Spawn, was taken at Walmer Castle. Ivan is a keen photographer outside of the College and has entered the competition in previous years.
