CSVA students' designs win poster competition for POW! Festival

Zola Kinden, HND Art & Design student from CSVA at Canterbury College, has won a competition to have her poster printed and available to buy from the Turner Contemporary shop for the duration of the festival.

POW! (Power of Women) Thanet is a festival of arts and culture that celebrates feminism and explores issues around this. The festival was held 8th–17th March 2019 and led by a successful team of women.

Students from CSVA collaborated with the festival by designing promotional posters for POW! 2019.

The produced posters were then judged by representatives of the festival.

Ben Kidger, Head of Visual Arts, said:

“This project is precisely the kind of thing that CSVA excels at. We constantly strive for our students to have real-world experience and creative collaborations within the community.”

HND Art & Design students Lauren Flower and Toby Howe also won the competition for their posters promoting consent, to be used on Stagecoach buses throughout Kent.

Congratulations to all students involved in the project.
