Bursary Application Guidance

Please read the following information before completing the Bursary Application form.

Before you begin...

Please ensure you have read and agree to our Student Bursary and Funding Support Privacy Notice before you proceed further.

You will need to upload / email some of the following documents for all members of the household mentioned in the form so please ensure you have electronic copies of these ready before you begin (guidance for uploading documents can be found by watching the video below or reading the content of this page).

Please note that providing incomplete or insufficient evidence will delay processing of your application.

 

Evidence requirements

If you receive Universal Credit you need to provide the following:

  • Latest 3 Universal Credit Award Notices, showing the full breakdown (to do this click on each date in your portal which will then provide your full breakdown)

If you DO NOT receive Universal Credit you need to provide all of the following that apply:

  • Wage slips / salary (latest 3 months)
  • Evidence of self-employment income (e.g. HMRC tax calculation)
  • Latest Child / Working Tax Credit notice (all pages)
  • Evidence of Housing benefit and / or Council Tax (including amount)
  • Any other state benefit (e.g. ESA, State Pension, Carer’s Allowance, Income Support, Bereavement Support Payments)
  • Pension Credit
  • Evidence of any other income such as child maintenance, private pension, rental income or share dividends 

We estimate this form will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete if you have the above documentation prepared.
