Bursary Application Guidance

Please read the following information before completing the Bursary Application form.

Before you begin...

Please ensure you have read and agree to our Student Bursary and Funding Support Privacy Notice before you proceed further.

You will need to upload some of the following documents for all members of the household mentioned in the form so please ensure you have electronic copies of these ready before you begin filling in the form (guidance for uploading documents can be found here). Please note that providing incomplete or insufficient evidence will delay processing of your application.

  • Council Tax Support notification letter (this is at least 4 pages long and details your declared household income). If you receive Council Tax Support, we only need this document.


  • 3 month's recent Bank statements for all accounts you have

AND any of the following that apply

  • Wage slips (past 3 months)
  • Self employment income (e.g. HMRC tax calculation)
  • Working and \ or Child Tax Credits (ALL pages of your Award Notice)
  • Universal Credit (full breakdown and past 3 months)
  • Other State Benefits (e.g. Employment & Support Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, State Pension)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Pension Credit
  • Other Income (e.g. from Child Maintenance or a Private Pension)

We estimate this form will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete if you have the above documentation prepared.
