Travel to College

Discover how to get to EKC Folkestone College and the support available to travel to College.

Our College is only a five-minute walk from the city centre and is well connected to surrounding towns and villages across East Kent. It has great cycling, bus and train routes and is served by regular Park and Ride services.

Travelling by car?

We are situated close to Folkestone town centre and are easily accessed from Junction 13 of the M20.

To find us coming off the Motorway, follow the A2304 south and go straight at the traffic lights. Follow the road round and you will see our College.

Car parking is available at the front of our main College building.

Travelling by Bus?

Our campus is within a 15 minute walk from Folkestone bus station. When you leave the bus station, head right, follow Cheriton Gardens, then turn left onto Shorncliffe Road to head to the College.

Local bus services stop right outside the College at the ‘East Kent College’ bus stop.

Travelling by Train?

Our closest train station is Folkestone Central which less than a 10 minute walk away. Turn right as you leave the station and go up the main road, then turn right at the roundabout by Kingsnorth Gardens. Carry on walking until you see our College sign.

Folkestone West station is less than a 15 minute walk away. Turn right as you exit the station and then turn right on the main road. Follow this road round until you see our College.

Financial Support

At EKC Folkestone College, we provide Financial Support to those students who need it.

This includes bursary funds for those who don’t have the nesscary funds to travel to College in any way.
