Ask Questions

Whilst you are being interviewed for your place at EKC Sixth Form College, we encourage you to come prepared with any questions you have about studying A Levels with us.

Good examples of questions include:

  • What will my timetable look like?
  • Will this A Level be a good fit for my future career and university ambitions?
  • What extra-curricular activities can I take part in?

You may have more specific questions surrounding access arrangements, and we encourage you to bring these up in your interview.

Think about your options

You might not know exactly what your ambitions looks like right now. We encourage you to think through what you enjoy, what you’re good at and what careers you’d like to pursue in the future.

Consider how you work – are you creative? Perhaps you prefer coursework over exams? All of these things will feed into finding the right A Level subjects for you, and ensure whatever your chosen path, you can find success!

Let your personality shine through

Every student is different, and we encourage you to be yourself! Don’t be afraid to show us who you are as a person and talk about your passions and experiences.

Prepare for success

Getting ready for an interview starts with some very simple preparation techniques.

Make sure to get a good night’s sleep beforehand, and pack your bag and anything you need to bring to the interview so that you don’t need to worry about forgetting anything.

If you are interested in a creative A Level, you may want to make sure that you have everything in your portfolio to show your talent.

A good tip is to plan your route into College and make sure you have plenty of time to get here, so that you can show up to the interview without feeling flustered or stressed.
