Our interviews are a chance for you to explore your subject choices and for us to determine your suitability for our A Level programme.

Whilst you are being interviewed for your place at EKC Sixth Form College, we encourage you to come prepared with any questions you have about studying A Levels with us.
Good examples of questions include:
You may have more specific questions surrounding access arrangements, and we encourage you to bring these up in your interview.
You might not know exactly what your ambitions looks like right now. We encourage you to think through what you enjoy, what you’re good at and what careers you’d like to pursue in the future.
Consider how you work – are you creative? Perhaps you prefer coursework over exams? All of these things will feed into finding the right A Level subjects for you, and ensure whatever your chosen path, you can find success!
Every student is different, and we encourage you to be yourself! Don’t be afraid to show us who you are as a person and talk about your passions and experiences.
Getting ready for an interview starts with some very simple preparation techniques.
Make sure to get a good night’s sleep beforehand, and pack your bag and anything you need to bring to the interview so that you don’t need to worry about forgetting anything.
If you are interested in a creative A Level, you may want to make sure that you have everything in your portfolio to show your talent.
A good tip is to plan your route into College and make sure you have plenty of time to get here, so that you can show up to the interview without feeling flustered or stressed.
Can I bring someone with me?
Consider whether you would like to come to the interview alone, or with a parent or guardian. We understand that some applicants may feel more confident with somebody to accompany them and support them. Equally, if you wish to turn up independently, that is fine too.
What shall I wear?
There isn’t a dress code at EKC Sixth Form College, so turn up to the interview in an outfit you find comfortable. We recommend wearing something that makes you feel confident and well-presented.
