Jayne Duncan

Head of Employability Canterbury, Folkestone & Dover

Jayne has worked for Into Work EKC since 2015.  She arrived in Kent from Birmingham via London and has worked in Post 16 Education for over 20 years.  Jayne moved into the education field after a chance meeting with a friend at Euro 1996 suggested she take the opportunity to retrain as an NVQ assessor after being made redundant.  This has seen her take roles in Work Based Training, Local Government Training, with a homeless charity and in FE.

She has a passion for working with adult learners, enabling and empowering them to find work and to further their careers through learning. She firmly believes that learning is life long and engaging with all sorts of activities supports wellbeing.  Jayne has keen interest in sport and in a past life played football for a women’s football team, managing and organising a youth team. Although, time now sees her watching more from the terraces at Folkestone Invicta and the armchair!

Her move to the coastal town of Folkestone has seen her become more interested in art and local events, she is now volunteering for East Kent Gleaning through working at the College.
