Having graduated from Portsmouth with a BA in Management Fionna joined Bass Charrington as an Area Manager in Wales then moved to Whitbread on the south coast in a similar role  and then to the beautiful Kent countryside where she has made her home.  Moved to FE in 2001 joining Sheppey College after taking time out to look after her 2 young sons whilst being a school governor and local charity secretary.  Following several years as a tutor Fionna then transferred to the adult training department where she ran projects across the Canterbury and Swale areas including Apprenticeships, Functional Skills programmes and prison education.  Following the EKC merger  Fionna continued to be involved at the Eastchurch site which is an adult only training centre aimed at developing independent learners who flourish and succeed in an alternative educational environment. The Eastchurch site continues to grow and Fionna aims to attract more community learners who can make use of the fast track, personalised learning courses to move into a new career in either building services or IT/Digital industries.
