Updates: Colleges & Business Units | Commercial Outlets and Nurseries
Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
Key members of the local community joined staff to discuss the new government-led T Levels, which are equivalent to three A Levels and require 315 hours of work experience, offering students an insight into their chosen industry prior to entering it. Apprenticeship opportunities were also highlighted to the visitors, with many promising to take one or more following the talk.
Organised by the college's Industry Liaison Officers, guests at the Wednesday 23 November event included Shepherd Neame, Thanet Earth, the Port of Dover, and Dover District Council.
Paul Owen, Dover Technical College’s Principal, said: “It was excellent to see so many people and organisations interested in what we do as a College and what we could achieve through collaboration. I think it was a very beneficial experience for everyone, with a lot of positive outcomes being forged for our students as a result of it.”
