As part of the college community week, 10 of our Engineering students visited the Kent Battle of Britain Museum and worked on their new Junker JU52/3M aircraft.
The students were set the task with scotching up the upper surface of the starboard wing in preparation for repainting. After scotching the students were split into three groups and given a brief half-hour tour around the Junkers Ju 52/3M and the Stuart-Buttle and Lord Dowding Memorial Hangars. This was to give them an insight into the Museum and the Battle of Britain Period.
The students had a fantastic time working there and after finishing up their tasks, they were able to have a tour of the site.
