Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

One of the fastest growing industries, engineers shape the world; from developing new mobile phone technology to designing buildings and making components for aircraft, the career opportunities are endless.

As a student on our Mechanical, Electronic or Marine Engineering courses, you will be using the latest resources, with classes delivered by industry specialists. In addition, you will have the opportunity to cover CAD, design, robotics, quality control, tool making, engine room manufacturing and sea survival.

We work in partnership with local and national engineering companies, which can lead to great work experience and Apprenticeship opportunities.

Whichever route you choose to pursue, from programming industrial robotics to machining accurate components, you will leave prepared for your next steps, be it employment in engineering, an Apprenticeship or further study at university.

Student Testimonial: Engineering

Sam Malih

My name is Sam and I studied Engineering at Dover Technical College. In 2018 I studied level 2, moving onto level 3 in Septemeber 2019.

The thing I enjoyed most about the course, was the practicals we did in the workshop.

Following the completion of my level 3, the college supported me in applying for university, where I am now studying Mechanical Engineering (Foundation), where I plan to progress onto the full degree and even a Masters.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Dover Technical College and would recommend the College to others, scoring it a 4.5 out of 5!
