Course Overview

Delivered by Fiona Goldfinch, a former SENCO with a specialism in attachment and the impact of trauma, this course forms part of our unique Early Years offer.

Research into adverse childhood experiences has revolutionised our understanding of child health, welfare, and development.

Whether you are already working directly with children or are interested in doing so, this course helps you to understand the potential impact of negative events in children’s lives.

Course Detail

During the course you will:

Explore the factors and experiences that affect holistic development
Look at the impact of adverse childhood experiences on the brain, health, and outcomes
Be given strategies to improve outcomes for children affected by adverse childhood experiences

Course Assessment

There are three units and a range of assessment methods. Students will usually complete 2 assignments per week.

Course Progression

This course will give you a level 2 certificate that will enhance your professional development and prospects.
