Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

You can play a vital part in the most important and exciting stage of a child’s life!

This qualification can give you a basis in which to start a rewarding career supporting children in their development. Whether you wish to be a nursery assistant, a primary school teacher or teaching assistant this course will develop essential skills for you to build upon.

Level 1 will explore the basics of working within the early years industry, learning the skills needed to become an early years practitioner. Level 2 will cover a variety of aspects of caring for children and supporting their needs, such as child development, safeguarding and well-being.

Here, you can look forward to the opportunity to put your skills into use with work placements in the early years sector.

Role description

Nursery nurses and assistants care for children from birth up to seven years of age in day or residential nurseries, children’s homes, maternity units and similar establishments.
