Always wanted to be a healthcare professional? Looking to study at university? Join our part-time, intensive hybrid Access to Health Professions course and earn the equivalent of 3 A Levels in only 6 months.

Course Overview

This self-directed, independent online course is studied in the convenience of your own home. Tutorials will also be available on request.

Course Detail

This Access programme offers a broad range of subjects for students who wish to progress on to degree courses at university.

Students will complete an in-depth course in human biology, as well as courses in psychology and sociology. In addition, all students will conduct an independent research project to build a range of academic skills.

The purpose of Access courses is to prepare students to study at degree level. As such, successful applicants must be prepared to undertake independent study outside of College contact time. This will require extensive reading, research and essay writing.

Course Assessment

Assessment methods will include essays, case studies, projects, presentations and time-constrained assessments.

Course Progression

Access students have gone on to study at universities throughout the UK. Successful completion of this course could lead to studying on a variety of degree programmes, including midwifery, paramedic science, adult and child nursing, psychology, forensic science, mental health nursing and occupational therapy.

This course is free for eligible applicants under 24 years old who do not already have a level 3 qualification, and there are finance options for 24+ students. Contact us for more information.
