Ryan spent 19 years in the police, with the most recent three as a firearms instructor. When Ryan made the move into teaching he found himself in the Middle East. When his contract expired he then continued teaching and working at Canterbury College.
Trevor has spent 11 years in the Coldstream Guards, the oldest continuously serving regiment in the British Army. He then went into teaching in the secondary education centre, including six years teaching in youth detention centres.
Alfie began his Public Services careers as a student himself. He then moved into healthcare, undertaking various roles within the NHS and achieved a BSc specialising in International Policing and Counter Terrorism. He has helped contribute to local authority studies to improve public security in the Canterbury area and elsewhere.
Christian has taught in the public services department for 15 years and is a big believer in teamwork and inclusivity. He holds a BA in education and has previously worked abroad and in the UK as a scuba diving instructor and a first aid instructor. Christian is also a former musician and a big fan of sharks and David Attenborough.
Emma's background is in sports, fitness, careers and apprenticeships and currently volunteers with the Kent Fire and Rescue Service within their Safety Support Team. She has coached a range of sports and teaches group exercise classes at local sports centres. She runs outdoor bootcamps and plays basketball at both local and elite level representing GB over 40's. Emma loves working within communities and gets a great sense of achievement from giving something back.
