Level 3 Student Success: What’s the next step for our students?

Many of our students received their final grades for their Level 3 courses on Thursday 18 August. We caught up with some of them to find out what their next steps are after College.

Ceejay Swain-Bonner, Art & Design

Ceejay has achieved a Distinction in UAL Art & Design Extended Diploma at CSVA. He has accepted an offer from the University of Creative Arts to study BA (Hons) Visual Communication.

Ceejay said: "I am very happy. I couldn’t think of a better place for a creative to study than Canterbury College! If you're thinking about going, go!"

Lucy Edwards, Photography

Lucy has achieved a Distinction in UAL Photography Extended Diploma Level 3 at CSVA. She is setting up her own freelance photography business and has been added to The Marlowe's list of freelance photographers to be approached for future work.

Will Deed, Sport

Will has achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Sport after completing his course.

He has accepted an offer from the University of East Anglia to study BSc (Hons) Sports Development in September.

He said: "I am carrying on studying my love for sport to hopefully make a career in the sports development industry."

Alex Mitchell, Sport

Alex achieved the required grades in her Level 3 Sport course to be accepted into Canterbury Christ Church University to study Business Informational Systems.

Daniel Hill, Media Production

Daniel has achieved a Distinction in Computing and has secured a place at the University of Winchester to study BA (Hons) Digital Media Design.

Jolie Jones, Fashion and Textiles

Jolie has achieved a Merit grade in Fashion and Textiles and will be taking a gap year to work. She is planning to study Fashion Communication at university afterwards and aims to secure employment in the Fashion industry.

Maisie Grogan, Art & Design

Maisie has worked hard at College to achieve a Distinction in Level 3 Art and Design. She has secured a job working at Rock Paper Scissors in Canterbury, and will also be coming back to College to work as a part-time Talent Ambassador in our Art and Design Department.

Emily Butler, Travel & Tourism

Emily has achieved a Merit in her first year of the Travel & Tourism course. Once she graduates next year, she plans to go travelling and the destination at the top of her list is Italy. 

Jase Smith, Media Production

Jase achieved a Distinction in Media Production and has secured a place at the University of Sussex to study BA (Hons) English and Film Studies.

Owen Gregory, Performing Arts

Owen's hard work has paid off as he has achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Performing Arts. From September, he will be studying BA (Hons) Drama and Theatre at the University of Kent. 

Amy Duquenoy, Art & Design

Amy achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Photography and is progressing onto studying BA (Hons) Fashion Photography at Falmouth University.

She said: "I really enjoyed studying on the Photography course and getting and getting to work and collaborate with other like-minded students."

Lucie Davies, Public Services

Lucie achieved a Distinction in her Level 3 Public Services course and has secured a place to study LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology at Canterbury Christ Church University in September.

Bianca Albeanu, Art & Design 

Bianca received a Distinction in Level 3 Art & Design after her huge commitments over the past few years of study. She has an unconditional offer to study Architecture at University College London in September.
