Throughout the past academic year, our staff and students have worked in collaboration with a large variety of employers within different sectors. These businesses have helped our students to develop and build upon new skills and knowledge which will allow them to thrive both in their remaining studies at College and in the future, such as in the workplace or at University.
We would like to take the opportunity to show those employers our thanks and appreciation for their continued support in helping us to deliver highly career focused training to our students.
To recognise those employers that shown great support and collaboration to enable our students to make a difference in our community, we have awarded a bamboo trophy and interactive award card which opens a congratulatory webpage when scanned.
Local carpentry business, Chippie Contracts, said “we are delighted to receive this prestigious award and have been working alongside the EKC Group as a key employer providing work experience and apprenticeship placements to school leavers and mature students for the last 20 years. Here to many more years of bringing highly trained and experienced workers into the industry”.
Paul, co-founder of 3SIX5 Digital, a digital agency based in Rochester, shared his excitement upon receiving the award, saying “it’s so nice to get recognition as we've put so much time and thought into trying to make our internship programme as effective & enjoyable as possible for students. We are all really looking forward to working with the EKC Group over the next 12 months and can't wait to help more young people get real world digital experience in an ever-changing marketplace”.
We would specifically like to thank our Employer Award winners who have gone above and beyond to help our students make a difference in Canterbury and the surrounding areas. We look forward to working with our local businesses again in the future.
