Discover Countryside courses at our Spring Lane Facilities

Students will study at both Canterbury College main site and our specialist land-based campus at Spring Lane.

Learning takes place in and out of the classroom, with our experienced tutors will guiding learners to explore many different locations across Kent with regular field trips and practical experiences, giving opportunity for theory to be put into practice. 

Our courses cover a range of topics, including Working in Land-Based Industries, Plant and Soil Science, Habitat and Wildlife Management, Habitat and Wildlife Conservation and Practical Estate Skills.

Our Spring Lane campus has a wide-ranging facilities including a large animal management centre with over 200 species, a heated and fully-furnished glasshouse, various polytunnels, a mature orchard, many wildlife areas and ponds, a student common room, football pitch and well-established Learning resource centre.

The land surrounding the teaching buildings at Spring Lane offer a fantastic opportunity for learners to develop practical conservation skills in a safe and secure environment.
