Canterbury College Welcomes the Spring Lane Campus

Canterbury College is delighted to announce the onboarding of our Spring Lane campus, a location which will provide a new and exciting learning experience for animal management and land-based students.

Spring Lane is a specialist land-based campus that boasts a wide range of facilities, including a large animal management centre, home to over 200 species of animals. The site hosts a fully furnished heated glass house, various polytunnels, a mature orchard and a wealth of wildlife areas and ponds. Alongside these facilities, students will be able to make use of a common room, a football pitch and a well-established Learning Resource Centre to aid them with their course.

The new campus will be utilised by students studying full-time and part-time animal management courses at all levels and also those who are wishing to take up part-time horticulture courses.

The addition of the Spring Lane site to the Canterbury College and EKC Group family strengthens the Group’s education and training provision in the East Kent area, equipping local students with the skills and knowledge needed to prepare them for successful careers or further study, and enabling the Group to boost the social and economic prosperity of a the communities it serves.

Canterbury College Principal, Lucy McLeod, said: “We are delighted to welcome the staff and students from Hadlow College’s Canterbury campus into the Canterbury College community.

"It is an exciting opportunity to build on the excellent work they do there and develop specialised animal and land-based provision for East Kent.

"Joining forces with the land-based provision we already have at Canterbury College will enable us to offer outstanding quality learning for young people and adults wishing to train in this sector."
