Water Regulations (WRAS) Certificate

Overview

Water Regulations (WRAS) Certificate covers the Water Regulations (1999) and is required by individuals looking to join their local water authority’s Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme and Competent Person Schemes (CPS).

Completion of this course will allow you to join a competent person scheme such as WRAS, APHC, CIPHE, WaterSafe and become an approved contractor. You will not need to notify Water Companies for certain installations.  Local Authorities and Housing Associations insist on using Approved Contactors only. Approved Contractors can self-certify their own work.

The course covers:

  • Interpretation and definitions
  • Materials and substances
  • Requirements, design and installation
  • Backflow and contamination prevention
  • Hot and cold water services
  • Flushing devices
  • Sanitary appliances; both internal and external

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to join a Competent Persons Schemes (CPS)
