This course aims to assist learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for those with dementia.
The course covers 7 key units, which include:
Students will be assessed by both written and online exam.
Learners who achieve this qualification may wish to progress onto a similar Level 3 qualification, or pursue employment or university-level education.
Learners will need to have a relevant Level 2 qualification or experience; however, all applicants will be interviewed and assessed on an individual basis.
Part-time courses are only for students that are 19 years of age and over at the start of their study programme.
£811 per person*.
*This course may be free to those who are 19+ and unemployed, receiving universal credit or job seeker’s allowance. This course may also be free if you do not already hold a Level 3 qualification and over the age of 24.

Those eligible for the above funding may also receive bursary to help with other costs, such as travel, and can provide a free laptop for use, which students can keep upon completion of the course.
