This creative course covers specialised make-up and artificial hair for media purposes. Students will learn make-up and hair techniques for film and television work, stage, catwalk and other media such as photographic shoots.
Studying on the Level 2 Hair and Media Make-up course will enable you to explore a broad range of areas including basic hairdressing, fashion, photographic make-up, body art, tanning, and eye treatments, along with health and safety and customer care. This course has a strong vocational emphasis, allowing you to develop practical skills recognised by employers. You'll be encouraged to develop your own abilities, and also to communicate and interact with external clients.
This qualification will require you to develop an effective working methodology, which will enable you to react positively and creatively across a diverse range of assignments and creative activities.
You will be continually assessed throughout the course and will complete practical assessments on paying clients as well as written assignments and online tests. You will create a portfolio of evidence to display your achievement.
This course can lead to a Level 3 qualification and working in the industry.
