Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
This evening course for those aged 19+ will give you more opportunities in work and education. You'll learn in a caring environment with an experienced tutor, and will also have access to computing software that enables you to get a better understanding of the topics covered in class. The sessions are held on Thursdays at 5:45 - 7:45pm.
You will learn how to analyse situations mathematically and problem solve using maths, algebra, geometry and statistics.
There will be one 90-minute exam at the end of the course. In class (during the course), you'll be assessed in a variety of different ways.
This qualification will provide you with the first stepping stone on the path to many career and educational opportunities in your chosen field.
4 GCSEs grade E–G (2 or 1) including Functional Skills English and Maths Entry 3 or GCSE grade 1 or 2.
The Study Programme will follow the Edexcel syllabus and will cover the four main elements of maths at Level 1: number, algebra, statistics and geometry.
*There is no fee for GCSE Maths provided you do not already hold the qualification at grade C or above.
