Maths Functional Skills - Daytime (19+)

This course, for those aged 19+, will give you more opportunities in work and education. You'll learn in a caring environment with an experienced tutor, and will also have access to computing software that enables you to get a better understanding of the topics covered in class. You can start this course at any time. 

We are offering courses for those who are looking to gain either an entry level qualification, or a Level 1.

Groups will begin in September, and you will have the option to sign up for one of the following sessions: The level of qualification you will need to achieve will be assessed on application.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to analyse situations mathematically and problem solve using maths, algebra, geometry and statistics.

How will I be assessed?

There will be one 90-minute exam at the end of the course. In class (during the course), you'll be assessed in a variety of different ways.

What may it lead to?

This qualification will provide you with the first stepping stone on the path to many career and educational opportunities in your chosen field.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grade E–G (2 or 1) including Functional Skills English and Maths Entry 3 or GCSE grade 1 or 2.

Additional information & other costs

The Study Programme will follow the Edexcel syllabus and will cover the four main elements of maths including: number, algebra, statistics and geometry.

*There is no fee for GCSE Maths provided you do not already hold the qualification at grade C or above.
