Studying on the Level 2 Beauty Therapy course will enable you to learn a broad range of treatments including manicure and pedicure, facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, head massage, ear-piercing, health & safety training, retail, related anatomy and physiology.
This course has a strong vocational emphasis, allowing you to develop practical skills recognised by employers. You'll be encouraged to develop your own abilities, and also to communicate and interact with external clients.
This qualification will require you to develop an effective working methodology, which will enable you to react positively and creatively across a diverse range of assignments and creative activities.
You will be continually assessed throughout the course and will complete practical assessments on paying clients as well as end of unit tests. You will create a portfolio of evidence to display your achievement.
This course allows progression on to a Level 3 programme, an apprenticeship or employment.
Learners will need to have Grade D/3’s in English and maths; however, all applicants will be interviewed and assessed on an individual basis.
Part-time courses are only for students that are 19 years of age and over at the start of their study programme.
£2,583 per person*.

Those eligible for the above funding may also receive bursary to help with other associated course costs, such as kit. The college may also be able to help with travel costs and provide a free laptop for use, which students can keep upon completion of the course.
