The Level 2 Technical in Horticulture will prepare you with the skills required to start a career in either garden landscaping or production horticulture.
You will undertake both academic study and practical sessions that will develop your knowledge and practical skills.

Further to this you will be expected to undertake industry experience which will give you the employability skills needed to progress in to work.
This course is fantastic for those learners who enjoy a combination of classroom and outdoor learning; due to the nature of the course and the on-site facilities at Spring Lane, you will regularly have outdoor classrooms.
Assessments are coursework based where you will undertake practical observations, reports, presentations and group tasks.
Students will be able to move into an entry level role in the horticultural industries or on to an apprenticeship in crop production or landscaping.
Students will be expected to undertake a level of work experience as part of the course.
Depending on the qualifications you hold upon enrolment, you may be advised to study this qualification over one or two years. This will be thoroughly discussed at interview to ensure that you are on the most appropriate programme of study.
Students will need outdoor PPE – these items will be confirmed with you at enrolment.
