This course should appeal to the keen gardener, someone looking for a career change or a professional gardener looking to improve their knowledge.
This theory based qualification explains the scientific principles which underpin horticultural practices, you will learn about plant classification, structure and function, plant nutrition and the root environment, maintaining plant health and plant propagation.
You will also be invited to join some of our local trips and demonstrations of practical work… so get your wellies on standby!
Mainly theory and classroom based, there are written assessments in February and June which lead to a formal, nationally recognised qualification.
An interest in the subject and a commitment to sit the examinations.
This course is awarded by the Royal Horticultural Society.
*Please note, learners may be able to enrol on to this course until December 2020.
