This taster course is ideal for anyone who is looking to work in the adult social care field.

What will I learn?

This course will allow you to develop a basic knowledge of the adult social care sector, giving you the opportunity to explore the career path.

During the course, you will cover a range of topics including:

  • Types of job roles in adult social care;
  • Types of services in adult social care;
  • The role of communication;
  • The importance of valuing individuals being cared for.

How will I be assesssed?

There will be a written/ practical assessment.

What may it lead to?

Completion of this course will enable progression onto other related courses.
