Health T Level

The T Level in Health equips you with the experience, knowledge and skills needed to enter a variety of jobs in Healthcare. 

Course content

Designed by industry leaders, the T Level combines hands-on learning, academic study and a 45-day work experience placement with a local employer.

You will study core units covering a range of topics such as:

  • Core science – understanding the structure of cells, tissues and large molecules, genetics, microbiology, and immunology
  • Providing person-centred care
  • Infection prevention and control
  • How to support health and wellbeing
  • Understanding the healthcare sector

Options to Specialise

In addition to the core units, you will be asked to choose an occupation specialism. At Canterbury College, you can choose between:

  • Supporting the Adult Nursing Team
  • Supporting the Care of Children and Young People
  • Supporting the Mental Health Team

Your Future

Once you have successfully completed your T Level, there will be a range of progression opportunities available to you. These include, entering skilled employment, starting a higher-level apprenticeship, and going to university.

After studying this T Level, you could progress into a career as a:

  • Care Worker
  • Palliative Care Assistant
  • Dental Nurse
  • Ambulance Care Assistant
