Level 2 Barbering (Weekend Course)

What will I learn?

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to cut and style men's hair. The course will include health and safety, consultation, styling, cutting hair and facial hair. The qualification will consist of four units:

  • Client consultation
  • Following health and safety practice in the salon
  • Cutting men's hair
  • Cutting facial hair

How will I be assessed?

For each unit, the following will need to be completed:

  • A written assignment
  • A variety of practical assessments
  • One exam

What may it lead to?

On successful completion, you could progress onto our Level 2 Ladies Hairdressing programme. Alternatively, you could seek employment as a barber in a salon or become a self-employed mobile barber.

What qualifications do I need?

Learners do not need any prior qualifications or experience for this course, and all applicants will be interviewed and assessed on an individual basis.

Part-time courses are only for students that are 19 years of age and over at the start of their study programme.
