This course covers the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, including amendment 2 which came into force in September 2022. These regulations are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671).
This course will enable you to develop and exhibit a level of understanding and awareness of the changes to regulations, a priority to everyone involved in the industry.
The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, also additions and alterations to existing installations.
Existing installations that have been installed in accordance with earlier editions of the Regulations may not comply with this edition in every respect. This does not necessarily mean that they are unsafe for continued use or require upgrading.
This course is for those already working in the industry who wish to update from the 17th Edition and those with other relevant experience from the industry who would benefit from an updated understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations.
If you're a practising electrician, you must comply with the regulations for electrical work, this course is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the Electrotechnical industry.
You will be assessed with a two-hour online exam at the end of the course.
