Electrical Installations Diploma Level 3
This course leads on from the Level 2 qualification, and develops the training and skills needed to become a qualified electrician. This course covers advanced subjects which will allow you to progress to higher levels. You will need to be employed in the electrical industry.
What will I learn?
You will learn health and safety in building services engineering; understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems; the principles of electrical science; electrical installations (fault diagnosis and rectification, inspection, testing and commissioning); electrical system design; and career awareness in building services engineering.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by an online exam and two written examinations.
What may it lead to?
In order to work as a qualified electrician you will need to progress onto a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship after completion of this course.
4 Cs or 4s including English and Maths or a relevant Full Level 2 in addition to the Maths and English requirements.
Students are expected to complete 34 hours of work experience.
