Preparing to Work in Schools Award Level 1

This short course is ideal for those who are investigating a career as a teaching assistant.

What will I learn?

The course is designed to prepare you for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting.

Aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting the course covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and development.

How will I be assessed?

There will be a written/practical assessment.

What may it lead to?

Completion of this course will enable progression onto our Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning course.
